My Pre-game Planning for the Super Bowl of Aviation!

Football fans have the Super Bowl. “Nerds” have Comic-Con. NASCAR has the Daytona 500.Us airplane geeks have Oshkosh AirVenture. And geeked-up is just what I am about my annual visit to Oshkosh. Every year I get to attend all the major aviation events, but by far Oshkosh is my favorite. And it’s probably yours too.

Why Oshkosh is Best

People from all over the world converge on Oshkosh. Last year over 550,000 people and 10,000 airplanes converged on Wittman Regional Airport making it, for one week anyway, the world’s busiest, and coolest airport.

And it’s not just the EAA folks that get into the spirit. The whole town Oshkosh gets involved and opens its collective arms to visitors from all over the world with great hospitality, cold beer, hot brats, and legendary cheese curds – they’ll kill your diet, but once a year it’s definitely worth it.

Oh yeah, there are also airplanes: lots and lots of airplanes. From World War 1 biplanes to the Air Force’s most advanced 21st century stealth aircraft and from tiny remote control drones to Boeing’s gigantic 747-8F, Oshkosh is the one place on the planet where you can see literally everything connected with the past, present and future of flight.

Aside from the normal stuff you see at Wittman each year, AirVenture 2016 is “celebrating” some really cool things: Boeing’s 100th Birthday, the World War I Aviation Centennial, 100 years of the United States Coast Guard, the arrival of the “world’s largest water bomber,” and countless aviation-related happenings.

If you haven’t yet made plans to visit Oshkosh AirVenture 2016 you need to – today! This year promises to be the best year yet. How do I know? Every year is better than the last.

Visit Us at Oshkosh

As for Genesys Aerosystems, we’ll have our full complement of new-generation S-TEC autopilots and Genesys HeliSAS, advanced displays for airplanes and helicopters and more. Our technical team will also be on hand to answer any questions you have about the Genesys/S-TEC equipment you have or are considering installing in your aircraft.

We’ll be located in My pre-game planning for the Super Bowl of Aviation!. Stop by and say hi. Although, it is Oshkosh and I do have a lot of “meetings” scheduled around the grounds during the week, so you may not always find me at the booth. But, if I’m not there, I’ll be over by the warbirds, or the antiques/classics, or maybe at one of the Forums, or… well, just hangin’ with any of my 100-plus thousand best friends I see there very year.

Hey, it’s Oshkosh – the greatest aviation show on earth!

Until next time, fly safely,

Jamie
