Indonesian Navy Takes Delivery of First Genesys-Equipped CN-235 Aircraft

Mineral Wells, TX (February 7, 2024) – Indonesian Aerospace (PTDI) has delivered the first CN-235 aircraft equipped with the Genesys Avionics Suite™ to the Indonesian Navy for maritime patrol and other special missions. The avionics suite consists of EFIS flight displays with embedded FMS and Class-A TAWS, dual ADAHRS (Air Data/Attitude/Heading Reference System), dual GPS/SBAS receivers, GDR integrated VHF/UHF software-defined digital radios, and an S-TEC digital autopilot.

                                        CN-235 Genesys Avionics Suite

The CN-235 is a twin-engine transport aircraft jointly developed by CASA of Spain and PTDI. It is operated as both a regional airliner and military transport; its primary military roles include air transport and aerial surveillance. “Genesys is excited to partner with PTDI and the Indonesian Navy to support this important maritime aircraft with our state-of-the-art special-mission avionics” stated Nick Bogner, Business Unit Director. “The Genesys avionics suite is specifically designed and certified for demanding military and para-military applications and the open architecture allows for an elegant and seamless integration of third-party special-mission equipment.”
