Genesys Aerosystems’ IDU-680 selected by XP Services for UH-60 Black Hawk Avionics Modernization

Genesys glass avionics and sensor solutions will increase versatility of the UH-60 Black Hawk

Mineral Wells, TX (February 27, 2018)–– Genesys Aerosystems announced that it has teamed up with XP Services to develop an integrated cockpit solution utilizing 4 EFIS displays in a comprehensive UH-60 Black Hawk upgrade program.

The Black Hawk integrated IDU-680 displays offer high-resolution LCD glass depicting 3D Synthetic Vision, Highway-In- The-Sky (HITS), Enhanced HTAWS, Integrated FMS, Hover Vector and many more features. The system also utilizes an advanced integrated audio/radio management capability and Genesys’ unique OASIS (Open Architecture System Integration Symbology) to offer customized EICAS (Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System) specific to the Black Hawk.

“The UH-60 is a rugged and reliable platform for military and special mission operators, but it needed an EFIS display that shared those same qualities. The Genesys cockpit greatly exceeds our expectations,” said Rod Allison, President of XP Services. “The Genesys system is well suited for this aircraft and performed flawlessly on the cross-country flight to Heli-Expo.” Allison added. Arista Aviation is the first company to choose the integration as an upgrade solution for their customers. The system is on display in the Arista Aviation UH-60 (Booth C4).

“The UH-60 is a logical platform to add to our growing portfolio of rotorcraft and fixed-wing special mission aircraft,” stated Nick Bogner, Director of Business Development. “We believe XP Services will be an excellent partner to bring a modernized UH-60 to market at an attractive price point.”
