The qualified candidate will function as a manufacturing problem solver, advise engineering and others on questions of efficiency and producibility, and modernize production processes by applying new technolog

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop, revise, and improve the documentation that defines our manufacturing methods and processes
  • Support and improve the current factory automation processes
  • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies in the factory and their impact on production methods
  • Coordinate and produce efficient production floor layouts
  • Design tooling, fabrication aids, jigs, and fixtures to assist with assembly
  • Assist manufacturing management on interchangeability, accountability, tool policy, manufacturing and test plans, process control, and documentation
  • Develop method and operation sequences for fabrication and assembly
  • Develop assembly guides, procedures, and models
  • Provide technical alternatives and coordinate solutions with others on problems with tooling, inspection, engineering, materials, and manufacturing.
  • Review new designs and recommend modifications to optimize productivity and producibility
  • Analyze ergonomics and work station desig

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Self-starter attitude

Desired Qualifications:

  • Major GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Experience with VBA and/or SolidWorks
  • Exposure or experience streamlining production (5S/6S, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
  • 3-5 years of related experience
