Electrical Engineer (PDF)

The qualified candidate will be responsible for contributing to the engineering processes to define, re-design, support, and certify existing avionic hardware products.

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Support the creation and modification of hardware architecture, requirements, and design for new and existing products
  • Support the obsolescence engineering process and collaborate with operations and purchasing to identify solutions. Investigate alternate component use and perform diligence tests to verify design reliability and compliance
  • Provide technical alternatives and coordinate solutions for material and manufacturing issues to improve producibility with existing production designs
  • Design and develop product acceptance tests to thoroughly exercise the hardware and software capabilities of a product
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues with existing designs
  • Automate and expedite production tests to reduce human error and involvement
  • Design, develop, and support production test equipment
  • Modernize legacy electronic systems, test equipment, and interfaces

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Experience designing circuitry and PCB layouts
  • Ability to interpret C and/or Visual C# code
  • Experience with software IDE structures
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Self-starter attitude

Desired Qualifications:

  • Major GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Design for manufacturing education or experience
  • Experience developing C applications and/or C# interfaces
  • Experience troubleshooting circuitry
  • Exposure or experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of avionic certification processes for the FAA and other authorities
