Helicopter pilots love their HeliSAS and YouTube’s got the videos to prove it.

This is my 61st blog, and I can say in no uncertain terms that the ones I’ve done on the Genesys Aerosystems Helicopter Autopilot and Stability Augmentation System, aka HeliSAS, have been the most popular ones of the bunch by far.

NBAA 2017: The business side of business aviation.

Las Vegas is one of those polarizing places: Some love it and others, well, not so much. I personally really enjoy our biennial visit to “Sin City.” Not that I’m much for the gaming tables. Being in general/business aviation is enough of a gamble for me. No, what I look forward to is our trip to the NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (BACE).

Oshkosh 2017 – One for the record books.

If you weren’t at Oshkosh 2017 and have followed any of the week’s activities in the media, no doubt you are literally kicking yourself for missing out. This was the biggest and best AirVenture that I’ve ever attended – and I’ve been to my fair share.

Paris Air Show 2017: Oh, how I missed you.

I didn’t make it to last month’s Paris Air Show. If you read my recent “Back from the U.S.S.R.” blog, you can pretty much appreciate that. As much as I love Paris-Le Bourget Airport’s biennial hosting of the Paris Air Show, I had had enough international travel for a while.

Safer flying starts with smarter training tools.

I get a lot of responses and comments on my blogs (thank you), but some seem to attract more attention than others. One of those was a recent one that featured our Lead Trainer and Pilot Documentation Specialist Greg Schmidt about EFIS software updates.

Do new Avionics add "value"?

Value is in the eye of the beholder...

Sure as I’m writing this, I can bet you the question I’ll get asked the most at all this year’s aviation events will be, “How much will adding a new autopilot increase the value of my airplane?”

What it takes to earn a FAA STC

I love it when I get emails and phone calls from our friends and customers asking various Genesys Aerosystems company questions. And one I seem to get a lot is: What does it take for Genesys Aerosystems to earn an FAA STC (Supplemental Type Certificate)?
